Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in legal drafting, research, document review, and legal case management. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment and contribute to the success of our firm.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents including briefs, pleadings, and contracts
- Manage and organize case files and documents for easy retrieval
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts for case preparation
- Draft correspondence and communicate with clients professionally
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Utilize strong phone etiquette when interacting with clients and other parties
Skills:
- Proficiency in legal research tools like Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Strong knowledge of legal drafting techniques
- Ability to conduct thorough research on case-related matters
- Experience in document review and management
- Familiarity with legal case management software is a plus
- Excellent clerical skills for organizing and maintaining documents
- Professional phone etiquette for client communication
- Previous experience working as a Paralegal or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong interviewing skills for gathering information from clients and witnesses
