At TAL our Claims Teams are committed to providing an outstanding claims experience for our customers. TAL’s Claims teams are structured to support the customers of our three key business channels being Retail, Group and Direct. Working in the Claims - Retail Income Protection team, this role is accountable for the provision of personal and empathic service to clients and the proficient assessment of life claims in accordance with TAL’s claims philosophy, claims procedures, policy wording, and within stated authority limits.In this role you will:Independently manage a portfolio of claims end-to-endActive engagement of key stakeholders to deliver timely outcomes for customersAssess, analyse, calculate and finalize claims payments in a timely and accurate mannerProvide exceptional customer service including management of claims, communication and inquiriesLiaise with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure the timely and quality management of claimsParticipation in case conferences, peer case discussions, instructing third party service providersQualificationsTo be successful in this role you will have:Demonstrated experience in a similar position involving income protection, life, lump sum, trauma, critical illness, injury, TPD or death claimsRetail, Group or Direct claims case management experience - highly desiredOr an allied health, rehabilitation, accounting or finance background Ability to build rapport and empathy with customers during difficult timesPassionate and driven with a natural willingness to continue to learnYou’re always accountable for your actions.
