We have an opportunity available for a Sales Manager. The Sales Manager will be responsible for the leadership, strategic direction and continuous improvement of the Food Retail Market territory ensuring the achievement of financially sustainable customer growth, contract retention and achievement of revenue goals while providing the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

This individual is responsible for leading account executives and account managers to achieve 70% wallet share across national corporate agreements with an overall strategy to get “high, wide and deep” in organizational relationships. Ensuring the constant alignment of key account activities and growth plans with organizational strategy and initiatives, this role will ensure the managed sales team is leveraging the collective resources and expertise across the organization to create long term, sustainable and profitable customer relationships.

This is a critical sales leadership position, reporting to the AVP of Managed Sales, that requires a proven track record of building high performance teams, high customer focus, and a strategic mindset.

What you will do:

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership and other key stakeholders to develop long-term distribution strategies that align with overall business objectives.
  • Business Development and Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth within the and across sales channels and accounts. Identify new business opportunities, partner with new business development team and drive expansion in new business segments.
  • Performance management: Analyze sales data, market trends and key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of the business and direct reports.
  • Contract Negotiations: Lead negotiations with business partners to secure favorable terms and conditions that are a win-win for the organization and the customer.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Partner with marketing to align on key marketing campaigns and initiatives that will support customers and drive growth.
  • Budget Management: Manage the budget allocated for business, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to drive profitable, sustainable growth.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead high performing team; provide coaching and mentoring to support and develop team members.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, manufacturing, finance, HR, legal to ensure align business strategies and problem solve.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market changes that could impact business. Utilize this knowledge to develop key business strategies.
