We are looking for a person experienced with QuickBooks and financial statement preparation in a public accounting firm. This position requires an organized self-starter who can prioritize multiple client engagements and work with high attention to detail. Must be highly proficient in a fully digital environment, especially MS Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, and be able to pick up on computer applications quickly.
Responsibilities:
- Enter transactions from client records into Quickbooks, download and categorize transactions into Quickbooks Online.
- Reconcile bank accounts.
- Prepare trial balances to be used for tax return preparation.
- Assume responsibility, under supervision, for small accounting engagements involving the issuance of prepared and compiled financial statements.
- Prepare financial statements on various basis of accounting.
- Understanding of the Firm’s practices, policies, procedures, and culture.
- Have a working knowledge of the various professional standards of the AICPA and FASB.
- Associate's degree in Accounting or a closely related field. (Required).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field. (Preferred).
- Must maintain strict client confidentiality.
- Quickbooks: 2 years experience. (Required).
- Public Accounting experience. (Preferred).
