Direct Care Worker
Education: High School diploma or equivalent GED required
Experience: Effective communication skills, compassion, attention to detail, flexibility, physical stamina, patience. Ability to read, write and speak English
Qualifications: Active driver’s license with reliable transportation. Able to pass background checks
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Direct Care Worker
•Helps the consumer with ambulation/transfer
•Assists consumers in dressing, bathing, and completing basic hygiene tasks.
•Prepares meals/snacks that adhere to special dietary considerations.
•Assists with light cleaning and housework.
•Helps consumer complete basic household tasks.
•Runs errands
•Serves as a companion for the consumer
•Provide transportation
•Assist with eating/feeding
•Laundry, change bed linen, make bed
