Location: Springfield, NJ

The Manager of Planning and Analysis will assist with all sales analysis and reporting, competitive tracking, inventory planning and continued enhancements to the Company’s sales tracking tools/programs for U.S. and Canada wholesale.

Profile

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provides thorough analysis of SKU level sell-thru data each month by highlighting product family trends, new product performance, top sellers, etc.
  • Collaborates with sales team to determine proper assortment
  • Analyzes, maintains, and orders all timepiece inventory
  • Collaborates with the VP of Sales to determine evolving business needs and develop solutions
  • Updates retailer models and inventory calculators to reflect current assortments and pricing
  • Creates ad hoc analyses on sales performance and inventory to understand new trends and provide recommendations for overall business strategy
  • Monitors inventory levels and purchases all inventory via forecasting platform
  • Develops bottom-up forecast at the sku-level by analyzing recent trends, historical sales, new product launches and seasonality
  • Develops top-down forecast for the budget reviews and on a monthly basis for all channels by analyzing recent replenishment trends and new product launches
  • Assists with new product launches to ensure the proper allocation is correctly rolled out to retailers
  • Manages Salesforce.com online reporting. Works closely with the sales team to develop analytics and reports to help better understand retailer performance.
  • Provides thorough analysis of SKU level sell-thru data each month by highlighting product family trends, new product performance, top sellers, and publishes the National SKU report to the Sales and Product teams
  • Collaborates with sales team to determine proper assortment and inventory analysis of national and regional accounts throughout the year. Attends and actively participates in business reviews with Top 15 accounts.
  • Analyzes distribution portfolio by reviewing door candidates for closures or openings. Reviews regional mapping of current doors, door performance and competitor saturation. Provides in depth analysis of major markets to optimize distribution and proper retailer mix
  • Manages overall process of realigning Saleforce/ORS/SAP/Access during restructure to aid seamless transition in reporting for field and internal management.
  • Collaborates with retailers and account executives to set up new accounts in the Online Replenishment System (ORS). Maintains ORS functionality, tool boxes and price lists. Provides retailer/ AE support as needed.
  • Creates ad hoc analyses on sales performance and inventory to understand new trends and provide recommendations for overall business strategy
  • Collaborate with sales team to consign special product for events and potential orders

Additional information

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Expert proficiency in MS Office – particular emphasis on Excel (v-look ups, pivot tables). Access proficiency strongly preferred
  • 5 years of relevant experience. Previous experience in a retail environment preferred.
  • Previous experience negotiating with a third-party customer in order to influence outcomes and generate solutions
  • Prior experience with Salesforce.com, SAP, and Anaplan is a plus
  • Proficiency in database management and expert in data/information manipulation.
  • Ability to understand different systems and explain business needs to programmers
  • Strategic thinking ability to examine data, identify trends and solve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate future consequences and trends accurately and create competitive strategies and plans
  • Ability to adeptly manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate regularly with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or Finance, MBA is a plus

5 years related experience
