Tactile Medical is Hiring a Quality Inspector I Near New Brighton, MN

Overview:
The Quality Inspector I is responsible for ensuring product meets specifications by performing inspection and, if needed, testing of medical devices, sub-assemblies, and components while adhering to HIPAA requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Inspects incoming material, purchased materials, and components, and in-process products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests. Communicates quality concerns to supervisor and production group lead
  • Document the results of inspection and, when necessary, creating nonconforming material reports
  • Operates all associated test and measurement equipment as instructed and as documented in procedures/work instruction
  • Prepare accepted product for use by labeling product to indicate status and printing unique device identification labels as necessary
  • Assist with performing analysis, inspection, troubleshooting and testing of products or components identified as non-conforming during in-process and final inspection
  • Identify areas of improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects
  • Operate standard pallet jack to lift and transport items to and from the quality control area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Required:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year or less of related experience
  • Previous experience reading inspection processes and interpreting engineering drawings
Preferred:
  • ASQ certification
Knowledge & Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, Access, ERP and other applicable software
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to use a microscope and various measuring tools like a ruler, micrometer, caliper, etc
  • Strong documentation skills, send of urgency and highly detail orientated
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and work efficiently
  • Individual must have a hands-on approach
  • Ability to lift and move 40 pounds safely from pallet level
