Private Investigator:

• Prepare investigation or incident reports.
• Investigate personal characteristics or activities of individuals.
• Examine records or other types of data to investigate criminal activities.
• Use databases to locate investigation details or other information.
• Investigate crimes committed within organizations.
• Interview people to obtain information about actions or status of individuals.
• Testify at legal or legislative proceedings.
• Observe individuals' activities to gather information or compile evidence.
• Record crime or accident scene evidence with video or still cameras.
• Communicate situation details to appropriate personnel.
• Balance receipts.
• Collaborate with law enforcement or security agencies to respond to incidents.
• Inspect facilities to ensure compliance with security or safety regulations.
• Apprehend criminal suspects.
• Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Warn individuals about rule violations or safety concerns.

Security (Armed/Unarmed):

• Patrol an area for any safety or security risks
• Carry a weapon for de-escalation and defensive purposes (armed/unarmed)
• Prevent unauthorized access to the area and the items within
• Respond to reported incidents as necessary
• Monitor a closed-circuit television for potential issues
• Maintain a log of any activities
• Document any visitors to the property
• Coordinate with law enforcement as necessary
• Firearms Permit (BSIS certification); Baton and Pepper Spray permits are a plus
• Guard Card
• Law enforcement, security, or military experience strongly preferred
• CPR certification is a plus
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Reliable form of transportation
• Physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to work overnight, on weekends, and on holidays
• Observational and communication skills

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Military or Police Officer: 1 year (Required)
• Surveillance: 1 year (Required)
• Security/Private Investigator: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• Security or Private Investigator License/Card (Required)
