Tacoma Legal Counsel is Hiring a Legal Receptionist - Now Hiring Near Tacoma, WA

Job Description

We need an organized, upbeat, professional person to help our clients and staff with a wide variety of tasks. You would be responsible for answering phones, processing the mail, paying bills timely, managing incoming correspondence, keeping clients informed on appointments and case status, keeping the office running beautifully, screening new clients and sending out opening packets to clients, and more as time goes on. If you really want to be part of a team doing important work but also enjoy working independently then you might be a good fit. We're looking for someone who knows what they want and craves stability.

Compensation:

$42,000 - $45,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Answering phone
  • Preparing deposits for bank
  • Screening potential new clients
  • Opening new files
  • Calling clients regularly for check-ins
  • Managing emails
  • Keeping your work area and conference room tidy and presentable
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Filing documents with court (multiple counties)
  • Paying invoices promptly
Qualifications:
  • Experience with legal software, litigation case management, and docketing programs
  • Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Applicants must be able to type 50 words per minute or faster
  • Applicants must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills
  • At least 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks
