The Assistant Manager models servant leadership while delivering exceptional results through others. They provide an engaging environment for restaurant teams and the guest; while focusing on delivering operational excellence. Assistant Managers invest their time in developing servant leaders, creating memorable experiences and administrative activities.
Responsibilities:
Train, coach and develop a team of awesome employees to be as good as you (or better)
Create schedules based on weekly forecasts and Management and Crew availability
Certify the restaurant is kept clean so it's a fresh place to come and enjoy some Bueno food
Partner with General Manager on repair and maintenance activities ensuring Taco Bueno standards are met at all times
Partner and align with GM on restaurant goals and communicate them to the teams - because we're all in this together
Manage operations of the restaurant to include: sales, food and paper costs, labor costs, cash handling/controls, and inventory management
Be a champion of a "having fun while you work" culture and bringing out the best in your team
Promote open communication to create a great work environment and bring the best out of employees
Handle all team member relations with respect and care, bringing your GM into the loop as soon as possible
