Taco Bell is Hiring an Associate Copywriter Near Irvine, CA

About the Job:

Taco Bell Creative, or TBC, is at the heart of the brand as our award-winning in-house creative team. Our renegade crew of artists, designers, copywriters and account managers live and breathe the Live Más ethos and are connected directly to the design, brand, and marketing work that Taco Bell delivers to the world. We strive for our fans to love tacos as much as we do and engage them with the brand in new, bold, and never-been-done-before ways.

The Associate Copywriter will be responsible for concepting, writing, and executing innovative materials for various projects. Creative output should consistently satisfy partners, clients', and the team's objectives and expectations. You’ll get first-hand exposure working with cross-functional teams to bring fully integrated, multi-channel campaigns to life. You will learn a wide array of marketing concepts, channels, and executions.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Capture brand voice to be applied to a range of consumer touchpoints. Spanning from Social Media, Retail, Point of Purchase, OOH, Packaging, National Campaigns along with various other points of interest and experiences.
  • Collaborate directly as a member of the copywriting team along with multiple art directors, designers, account, and project managers.
  • Proofing layouts and copy to ensure that work is aligned with brand identity and that proper grammar/spelling is used.
  • Stay ahead of new technology, emerging social media platforms, and competitive research trends within both the food and lifestyle brand categories.
  • Have an inherent ability to tap into the Gen-Z tone-of-voice and deftly combine it with the Taco Bell ethos across messaging and future campaigns.
  • Inspire fellow coworkers and embrace the challenge of coming up with new ways of thinking beyond the written word (real-world activations and more).

Is This You?

  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, subject to reasonable accommodations. Proof of vaccination required.
  • At least 2 years relevant industry experience preferred.
  • BA or BS Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to understand marketing strategies and business operations.
  • Developing ability to present ideas effectively.
  • An ability to manage your own time and workload with assistance from your project managers.
  • Ability to listen and understand client feedback from internal critiques.
  • A growing portfolio that demonstrates your copywriting depth and range.
