Job Details

Responsibilities: Collaborate with the development team to understand backend service functionalities and requirements.

Develop and maintain test cases and test scripts for backend services testing. Execute test cases and perform both manual and automated testing of backend services.

Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout the testing process, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.

Utilize Karate, Kafka, and Tosca for testing backend services, ensuring comprehensive coverage and accurate results. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Participate in regular team meetings, providing updates on testing progress and insights into potential improvements. Client exposure is a must for this position. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in backend testing tools and technologies.

Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in software testing, specifically focusing on automating backend services. Strong understanding of backend systems and architectures. Proficiency in testing tools such as Karate, Kafka, and Tosca. Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Experience with test management tools like Zephyr, X-Ray etc.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
