Job SummaryAre you ready to lead and inspire as a Principal Civil Engineer in the dynamic world of Roads Highways?Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and senior expertise on surface transportation / roadway projects.
Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential clients and teaming partners.
Coordinate business development efforts with other leaders in the various transportation sectors of TYLin, focusing primarily on R H and Bridges
Play a key role in the "Go/No-Go" decision making process for pursuits.
Provide technical support and lead design of roadway projects.
Implement established Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures in coordination with TYLin and agency standards.
Direct the preparation, tracking and submission of the deliverables for assigned projects and the delivery of those projects on-time.
Support TYLin on Alternative Delivery projects with business development, marketing, and project management on an as-needed basis.
Assist in mentoring R H staff in the areas of BD/marketing, project delivery, change management, QAQC activities, risk management, etc.
Qualifications:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Professional Engineer's license required.
Minimum of 15 years of civil engineering experience in all elements of roadway and interchange design including roadway geometrics, developing intersection and drainage designs, construction staging design, pavement marking design, landscape and erosion control design, and utility coordination and conflict resolution.
Requires a thorough knowledge of IDOT policies and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of CDOT and other Transit/ Transportation Agency policies and procedures preferred.
Must be conversant in Micro Station Open Roads and exhibit the ability to develop project schedules, manage and monitor daily work tasks of staff, and coordinate the efforts of sub consultants.
