T-Rex Solutions is seeking a qualified Computer Systems Analyst to support the Hill Component Enterprise Data Center IT Operations and Maintenance Services program located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah (HAFB). This program aims to modernize legacy USAF network infrastructure and migrate services into a new AWS Cloud Environment. As the IPT Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration of new technologies and systems into our organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills, technical expertise, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. For any candidates not already local to the Ogden, UT area, T-Rex is offering a relocation support package to assist with moving costs.

Responsibilities:

  • The Infrastructure Computer Systems Analyst plays an important role in the deployment, configuration and maintenance of the overall virtualization infrastructure. This key position will work with the technical team to efficiently decommission legacy servers, perform migration of virtual machines, and ensure full data integrity to ensure minimal system downtime.
  • Perform Efficient Migration Tasking: Implement standardized procedures for retiring hardware, including data backup, virtual machine migration, and verification of decommissioning tasks, resulting in improved resource utilization and cost savings.
  • Process Management: Actively participate in Scrum and Agile processes as a key member of the cloud engineering team, collaborating closely with cross-functional colleagues to deliver high-quality cloud solutions. Participate in Sprint Planning, backlog reduction, and sprint reviews to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Data Migration: Perform basic functions with Cohesity, including data backup, disaster recovery, data replication, and data management tasks, ensuring data integrity, availability, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Backup Management: Perform data backup, recovery, scheduling, and configuration management, to ensure the integrity and availability of critical data assets.
  • The Infrastructure Computer Systems Analyst contribute significantly to streamlining and improving Data Migration and System Support tasking across the entire project.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Administration or Management or similar
  • 5 years' experience as a Computer Systems Analyst
  • Must possess an Interim or Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • Skills with tools such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS Lambda, CI/CD, AWS Systems Manager, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, AWS Code Commit
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages commonly used in data center environments such as Python, Java, C , or others depending on the specific technology stack. JSON, Shell scrip, Bash Scrip experience a plus.
  • Data Center Technologies: Strong understanding of data center architectures, infrastructure components, virtualization technologies, networking protocols, storage systems, and cloud platforms.
  • PLM Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management systems and their integration with data center infrastructure. This includes understanding the data model, APIs, and customization capabilities of PLM platforms.
  • Migration Strategies: Expertise in planning and executing data center migrations, including risk assessment, capacity planning, and downtime mitigation strategies.
  • Security Best Practices: Knowledge of security protocols, encryption standards, and compliance requirements to ensure data protection during migration and in the new data center environment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure engineers, application developers, project managers, and business stakeholders.

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $126,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
