Location: Davant, LA
United Bulk Terminals is the largest bulk terminal on the U.S. Gulf Coast and provides a complementary asset to Host’s growing network and services. The site specializes in coal and petcoke handling, with capacity for other bulk commodities.
Position Summary: The Operations Manager will oversee four operations teams at the UBT terminal. These teams’ primary duties are to safely discharge barges, and load ocean going vessels as efficiently as possible. Operations to be conducted in accordance with terminal operating and environmental / safety procedures. UBT operates with 24/7 rotating shifts. Each shift has a team lead and dispatcher whom report to the Operations Manager. This role is responsible for planning and executing all operational functions at the terminal. Close coordination with other departments and terminal management is critical. The position includes financial forecasting on a weekly basis to effectively manage costs.
