PROGRAM: SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY SERVICES (SCS)

POSITION SUMMARY
Under general direction of the Santa Barbara County Clinical Director, the Medical Staff Supervisor oversees all medical psychiatric care provided by the medical staff at Supportive Community Services and provides trauma informed psychiatric medical supervision, guidance, and leadership for the program as a whole. The medical staff supervisor will also provide direct services to clients in office or in the field to conduct medical/psychiatric assessments, provide medication education and support, medication injections or any other type of relevant assessments.
The Medical Staff Supervisor is responsible for providing oversight of the medical staff who are key members of the Supportive Community Services Program in Santa Maria. The SCS program engages and enrolls clients in an intensive Full Service Partnership (FSP) that provides behavioral health treatment and psychiatric services to adult clients with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders The Medical Staff Supervisor duties include orientation and training of medical staff, oversight of the medication room; orienting staff to TMHA and Santa Barbara Department of Behavioral Wellness policies and procedures with a focus on medication-related activities. The MSS will conduct periodic audits of documentation, medication practices, protocols and procedures. The Medical Staff Supervisor upholds and pro¬motes the organization’s philosophy in all duties performed.

HOURS/ SALARY
Part-time, 20 hours per week. Anticipated hiring wage is $55.00-$65.00 per hour depending on experience.
