Supervises, leads, and directs the maintenance department.
• Assigns work schedules and daily responsibilities to the maintenance employees.• Makes sure all equipment is safe to run by completing daily facility inspections for issues.• Performs weekly facility inspections as defined by the GMP policies.• Schedules preventative maintenance on all equipment.• Troubleshoots and diagnoses production issues with equipment.• Performs emergency repairs as needed during the day shift and is on-call for after hours as needed. • Creates equipment solutions for safety and production issues.• Make modifications to equipment for new product lines.• Designs and fabricates new production equipment as needed.• Orders replacement parts as needed.• Administers safety training on lifts and associated equipment.• Trains the maintenance department on daily responsibilities and as issues arise.• Administers performance reviews, coaches and disciplines employees.• Back-up for the Maintenance and Facility Manger.• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Experience with Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, Outlook, Great Plains and Internet Explorer.• Experience using a variety of hand tools, grinding equipment, welding equipment, pneumatic tools and electrical tools.
Works in a manufacturing environment where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility. Must be able to move 75 pounds 25 feet or more. Must be able to stand for an 8-10-hour shift (sometimes longer) with regular breaks while performing repetitive work. May be required to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays as needed. The employee is regularly exposed to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the plant is loud. Earplugs, safety glasses, beardnets (if facial hair exists), hairnets, and steel-toed / slip-resistant shoes are required in the plant in accordance with company GMP and safety standards. Must maintain a clean shaved face to facilitate wearing a Full Face Respirator.
