Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team.

Responsibilities:
-Maintain an adequate amount of material on the production floor racks.

-Unload and inspect incoming raw material. Store material safely.

-Assure all material is identified and tagged.

-Keep receiving area clean and organized.

-Remove middle stock bands and wood before bringing material to floor.

-Stamp all material as needed.

-Maintain inventory logs of raw and stamped material.

-Use SFMS to maintain proper material flow.

-Notify Material Manager of material quality problems.

-Control and segregate " on hold" or "rejected" material.

Recycling Material:

-Empty/spin all chip carts brought to the material building.

-Maintain, process, and segregate recycled materials and oils used in production.

-Maintain all recycling systems and follow daily maintenance schedule.

-Clean, identify, and segregate bins and carts.

-Notify supervisor/material manager of any contamination problems.

-Properly label, clean, and place cutting oil drums in a secure environment.

-Maintain an active role in quality, production, and engineering to identify areas for continuous improvement.

-Responsible to adhere to all T & L policies and procedures as they relate to this position.

-Perform any assignment and fulfill areas of responsibility as directed by the supervisor of this position.

-Has the responsibility and authority to stop a process which is, or is in suspect of, producing non-conforming product.

Training will be conducted on days for two weeks prior to night shift. Forklift and Combi lift experience preferred. On the job paid training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
