We are searching for a Medical Lab Technician to perform all routine laboratory analysis with accuracy and precision and according to written procedures. Identify all critical or unexpected results and verify results according to established procedures. Notify Supervisor or Clinical Specialist as appropriate. Prepare samples for analysis. Draw correct specimen and volume. Assign accession numbers. Maintain workstation in a neat and orderly fashion.

**$3,000 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)**

  • Hours: 24hrs
  • Shift: Evening shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 3:00pm - 11:30pm
  • Location: Tobey Hospital - Wareham, MA

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science required. Also required is certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or equivalent certification within one year of date of hire.
  • One year of experience in multiple laboratory disciplines including Chemistry, Hematology and Blood Bank preferred.
  • In accepting employment with Southcoast, you understand that you are required to be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
