SCOPE: The EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Leader in Manufacturing is a key player in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment for employees. The EHS Leader is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of comprehensive EHS programs and policies, as well as leading initiatives to continuously improve safety and compliance within the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Developing and implementing EHS policies, procedures, and programs to meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conducting regular safety audits, risk assessments, and investigations to identify potential hazards and opportunities for improvement.
  • Providing training and education to employees on EHS procedures and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices.
  • Collaborating with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and encourage active participation in EHS programs and initiatives.
  • Leading the incident reporting and investigation process, including the identification of root causes and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent a recurrence.
  • Staying current on relevant EHS regulations and industry trends, and communicating updates and changes to management and employees as necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate EHS records and reports, and preparing regular EHS performance metrics and trend analyses to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience in EHS within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of EHS regulations and industry standards are also required.
