Below, you’ll find other important information about this position. Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the IT Finance team. Assists the IT Finance Manager in creating efficiencies within the department and implementing process improvement initiatives. Performs financial analysis for all IT/HTM departments and create reports for IT Leaders and the IT Finance manager as needed. Performs supervisory duties in the absence or request of the IT Finance Manager. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field OR four (4) years' relevant experience. EXPERIENCE: 1. Two years’ experience in accounting or finance CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Assists the IT Finance Manager in day to day IT Finance operations. 2. Cultivates strong relationships with IT Leaders to help coordinate and monitor the accuracy of financial data across all WVUHS IT/HTM cost centers. 3. Analyzes financial data for all WVUHS IT/HTM cost centers and create reports for IT leaders and managers as required. 4. Provides support to IT Finance manager in completing and compiling financial support documentation for budget and external audit purposes. 5. Works with IT Leaders and other project owners to ensure capital project and operational spending is on track, forecasts are correct, and completed capital projects are being depreciated timely. 6. Provides support to the IT Ambulatory team for WVUHS Community Connect program and its finance related activities. 7. Coordinate and track IT/HTM maintenance contract renewal process through working with IT Leaders and WVUHS procurement to ensure renewals and new contracts are processed timely. 8. Ensures that IT/HTM order requests are being processed quickly and efficiently by team members and provides support and coverage as needed. 9. Facilitates and leads monthly/quarterly budget review meetings with IT Leaders to evaluate spending across all WVUHS IT/HTM cost centers and reports finding to the IT Finance Manager. 10. Leadership: Demonstrates curiosity and questions how IT Finance processes may be improved. Assist Manager in hiring new team members. Ensure team members focus their efforts toward departmental and organizational goals and objectives. Implements process improvement for team turnaround times. Continues self-education to remain up-to-date in finance and accounting practices; then uses the knowledge to provide insight and guidance to team members. 11. Team Building and Training: Provides onboarding and training of new hires. Facilitates training sessions for team. Mentors team members concerning finance, accounting and customer service skills. Implements process improvement for team turnaround times. Encourages team collaboration. Develops new process and procedures and ensures team members perform the same with consistency. Creates a participative, collaborative work environment. Encourages team collaboration and cohesiveness.
