Location: Bethlehem, PA
Type: Contract to hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM
Pharmaceutical Company in Bethlehem, PA is looking for a Facilities Technician to join their team!
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Facilities Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities, equipment and machinery; remaining in compliance with cGMP requirements and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Supports the Facilities Manager in ensuring the facility and premises are cleaned, maintained and inspection ready at all times
- Service and schedule repairs, as needed
- Assist in the service and performance of preventative maintenance (PM) on chiller, compressor, AC units, CargoCaire units, Glatt/Aeromatic Equipment
- Assist in the revisions and writing of Standard Operating Procedures as it relates to Facilities and Maintenance
- Work closely with the Facilities Manager and company personnel to ensure all areas are properly cleaned, equipment is in working order and maintained, and the facility is in "inspection ready" state at all times
- Work with outside contractors and vendors on maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and construction issues
- Load and unload material, equipment, etc. with the use of a forklift, as required
Requirements:
- 4 years’ experience at a small to medium sized biotech company including experience managing one or more staff
- Demonstrated understanding of systems needed to operate a facility; i.e. HVAC, electrical, process systems, plumbing/piping, pneumatics, instrumentation/automation, carpentry, or general maintenance
- Ability to lift objects weighing at least 50 lbs
- Knowledge of building operating systems, maintenance and repair of utilities systems at a biopharmaceutical facility Knowledge of all federal, state, and local codes and ordinance pertinent to facilities maintenance or willingness to learn
- Excellent interpersonal skills along with good oral and written communication skills
- Other duties as assigned by Facilities Manager or management
