Planner/Buyer Aurora, IL Contract/Potential Contract-Hire 7am-4pm, Mon-Fri $25-$28/Hour, DOE
Description:

• Purchase raw and packaging materials in accordance with proper purchasing practices, stocking levels and production requirements.
• Maintain raw materials, packaging and finished goods inventory to ensure optimal inventory availability in support of demand forecasts.
• Maintain accurate master data to drive efficient planning processes and inventory management.
• Communicate with corporate procurement concerning changes in pricing, lead-times and other issues impacting supply.
• Prepare weekly production schedules to ensure proper product availability to support demand forecasts and stocking levels.
• Maintain SAP MRP data.
• Collaborate with production, Customer Service, Shipping/Receiving, R&D, EHS< Marketing and Production as needed for either movement of materials throughout the plant or proper labeling for raw materials.

• 5 Years of production planning and/or buying in a manufacturing environment.
• B.S. Degree in Business Management or Supply Chain
• APICS Certification a plus
• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SAP software experience is preferred – must have SAP or comparable ERP system.
• Must have knowledge of bill of materials and component behaviors in MRP processes.
