Position: Security Manager
Reports To: Project Manager
Department: NTC – Arlington, VA
FLSA Status: Exempt
Supervises: None
General Function
Provide full Security Support Services for Government facility(s) including SCIF support, visitor
control, alarm systems, management of guard services, recordkeeping, and classified IT systems
support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manages the fire, security, and access control systems to meet the physical/personal safety and
security criteria for collateral, closed area, and the protection of national programs.
2. Writing the required Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Action Plans, and
Fixed Facility Checklists.
3. Provide Security support personnel knowledgeable in the TEMPEST requirements, and
Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of information systems security for collateral and
compartmented interagency co-use processing.
4. Implement visitor control operations and security clearance validation processes in accordance
with NISPOM and various DoD Directives.
5. Provide visitors and tenants with routine guidance and instructions to transmit individual
security clearances for scheduled site visits.
6. Conduct all training and briefing necessary for both collateral and SCI-cleared personnel.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Abilities
• Drug Screen and Background Check: Pass with the ability to maintain throughout
employment.
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience pertaining to the successful management and operation of
a SCIF in accordance with the applicable security directives listed at 3.1 directly related to
interacting with various agencies in administering security duties/requirements in the areas of
Physical Security, Personnel Security, Information Security, Information Assurance and
SCIF management operations.
• Knowledgeable of TEMPEST requirements, and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of
information systems security for collateral and compartmented interagency co-use
processing.
• Strong ability to articulate both written and verbal communications in a professional manner
through written publications in the form of developing SOPs and security policies, Co-Use
Agreements (CUAs), Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and other publications as
required.
• Working knowledge of property management/ inventory requirements is preferred.
• Proficient in DISS, MS Office (Excel, Word) and have a working knowledge of Outlook
Calendar features. Coordinates and manages the activity schedule and reservations for
conference room meetings.
• Possess a favorable adjudicated government TS/SCI security clearance within scope or a
verifiable submitted (in-progress) PR.
• Must meet COVID-19 vaccination requirements under EO14042
Minimum Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years’ of related work experience pertaining to successfully implementing
Visitor Control operations and Security Clearance validation processes in accordance with
NISPOM and various DoD Directives.
• Successful completion of related DSS, DIA or SSO sponsored SCI Security Official Courses
is highly preferred.
