Job Summary:

The Production Planner will oversee the needs of raw material inventory for line production and transform order data into accurate item counts for lines to create. Creates reports, reviews metrics, and provides administration support on order and item discrepancies. Maintain files for item codes, recipes, and UPC codes for extra needs from administration department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize ERP system navigate orders and run reports to summarize items and raw material data.

  • Calculate and analyze case data for pick pack, production line, and kitchen pre-made materials.

  • Leverage inventory stock with needed materials to communicate with buyers for needed product.

  • Assist in customer satisfaction, calling/emailing customers on any order issues.

  • Assist in analysis with the purpose of providing information to the leadership team and all local departments.

  • Maintain records, accurate files, and filing systems.

  • Communicates to all levels of the organization as needed to ensure successful and profitable customer experience.

  • Orders cut and bulk produce items from immediate facility when needed for next day production.

Education Required:

High school diploma

Experience Required:

Minimum 3-5 years of food production experience required.

Experience with food purchasing.

Technical Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to effectively perform in a multi-tasking environment with frequent interruptions.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Typing, data entry skills, and 10-key calculator skills are required.

  • Ability to present information and respond to questions at all levels.

  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to see problems through to completion.
