Syrinx is Hiring a .NET Senior Software Engineer (Trading Applications) Near Boston, MA
Leading Hedge Fund is looking for an enthusiastic developer to join the team building their new financial services platform. The developer should have some knowledge of the technologies and skills needed to create well-engineering, captivating, interactive applications using .NET.
The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, an enthusiasm for new technologies and willingness to learn about the specific complexities of constructing high-end trading Applications with extremely complex data models, and should be passionate about the creation and development of enterprise ready, decision-support tools.
Responsibilities :
Responsibilities :
- Develop, maintain and enhance the application used to configure and report results from a complex market risk analytics system
- Application layer programming, making use of technologies based on the .NET 4.5 stack
- Interact with business analysts to understand how data should be represented or displayed and interacted with
- Interact with QA team to design appropriate test harnesses and frameworks for the application layer
- Technically orientated degree (e.g. computer science, engineering, mathematics, physical sciences) with 2-3 years development experience
- Strong programming skills, especially on the .NET platform and C# (though we’ll take any other managed language platforms and the right mindset!)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong ability to problem-solve and quickly identify problem resolution
- Desire to find better ways to convey information from large, complex data sets to end users in an interactive, visually compelling manner
- Working experience in a team spread across multiple locations and time-zones
- Web services and WCF, SQL (SSRS)
- Experience with Microsoft development tools including TFS
