Job Description and RequirementsThe Synopsys Information Security team helps organizations transform and securely build what's next for the business.We are on the lookout for a Principal Cloud Security Engineer with a deep focus on engineering, AI, automation, and big data. This role demands extensive hands-on experience in various Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies, securing native cloud applications (especially containerized apps), and integration with CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will be a cloud security expert, adept at designing and creating custom software solutions to integrate data from diverse sources, including multiple cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), CSPM/CWPP tools, various scanning tools, and enterprise systems.Key Responsibilities: Engineer and implement advanced cloud security architectures and strategies with a strong emphasis on automation and AI.Secure containerized applications and manage secure host and container images in cloud environments.Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.Design and develop custom software solutions for data integration from various sources.Design and implement big data platform, including data ingestion, storage, and processing.Analyze big data to generate insightful reports for decision-making, leveraging AI to enhance analytics and process efficiency.Collaborate with teams across the organization to embed security into the development lifecycle and cloud infrastructure.Stay abreast of emerging security threats, technologies, and trends in cloud computing, AI, and big data.Participate in and assist with incident response activities and forensic investigations when required.Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.Extensive experience in cloud security at a principal or senior principal level, with a focus on AI, automation, and big data.Profound knowledge and hands-on experience in IaC, securing cloud-native applications, and CI/CD integration.Experience in designing and managing big data platforms and solutions.Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), security frameworks, and compliance requirements.Proficiency in programming and scripting languages relevant to cloud security and data processing.Strong analytical skills with the ability to create data-driven reports and insights.Excellent communication, leadership, and collaborative abilities.The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $130,000-$227,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
