The Compliance Manager will be key to maintaining a compliance program to include internal controls over financial reporting, ESG and any other customer compliance initiatives. In this role you will provide the technical evaluation and support to evaluate the documentation of financial controls and confirmation of compliance with overall Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) requirements as well as use a risk-based approach for managing other compliance initiatives such as ESG. You will do this through living the Syniverse values while creating a successful risk-based compliance program. Your behaviors align strongly with our values (Seek to Understand, Lead with Yes, Debate, Decide & Do, Think Ahead & Move Fast and Re-imagine the Possibilities), because ours do. - Some of What You'll Do Scope of the Role: Direct Reports: This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. Key Responsibilities Compliance Document and maintain a Risk Controls Matrix detailing the control objectives and activities, risks, assertions, related account balance and test plans for material processes within the Company. Maintain narratives and process flows for applications and platforms. Manage outstanding exceptions to ensure that items are remediated in a timely manner and management is aware of any residual risk. Manage the external audit process as it relates to the control reliance strategy. Work closely with the external and internal audit teams to ensure that any controls that can be relied upon to reduce substantive procedures are documented and designed appropriately. Document compensating and complementary controls that mitigate the risk with any associated exceptions. Manage the issuance of the Company’s SOC Reports, coordinating with the issuing audit firm and GRC to determine the scope of the reports. Work with business owners to map their internal controls to and commitments contained within the SOC reports. Track remediation items and work with internal control owners to identify compensating or mitigating controls. Perform tasks associated with determining the impact of control deviations. Perform all duties related to the issuance of the reports, including obtaining a basis for management’s assertions, obtaining all signed representation letters and reviewing all draft reports for accuracy. Work closely with appropriate departments to create awareness of the SOC reports and disseminate to the appropriate customers as needed. ESG Program Management Manage the issuance of the annual ESG report, coordinating with different stakeholders, including the collection of science-based metrics. Monitor regulatory requirements related to ESG and provide recommendations for compliance. Manage and complete ESG related requests from stakeholders (e.g., customers, investors) as needed. Communicate program updates with leadership and internal partners. Experience, Education, and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree with qualified Audit/Compliance exposure. 4 years post qualification experience. Additional Requirements: Flexibility and aptitude for change. Project management skills. Strong analytical skills required. Advanced Microsoft Excel ability required.
