PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR

3:30pm to 2:00am Mon-Thur $17-$20 DOE

Must be able to read cad drawings to produce components using lasers, punches, and press brakes with very tight tolerances.

Must know how to read blueprints.

Must know how to operate the following Press Brake Machines:

  • Amada RG-50
  • Amada RG-80
  • Amada HG-3103
  • Amada Astro 100
  • Di-acro machines
  • Manual back gauges

LONG TERM, POSSIBLE TEMP-TO-HIRE OPPORTUNITY.

Job Summary: The Press Brake Operator will work in our Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialty Shop performing Press Brake Operation. This includes operating machines used to bend, shape, cut, press, and mold sheet metal, working with machines that have numerous moving parts, loading, and unloading small parts, and performing quality checks on finished products.

Duties/Responsibilities: • Perform typical press operations to produce materials according to customer specifications.

  • Operates a press brake to manufacture components from sheet metal.
  • Prepares, sets up, and adjusts press brake as required by product plans and production schedules
  • Measures and aligns materials to be used.
  • Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on the machine.
  • Basic machine operation, loading and unloading products onto machine.
  • Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working in manufacturing and operating industrial machines.
  • Technical skills to operate press brake controls safely and effectively, ensuring optimal functions.
  • Must be able to read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures.
  • Must have exemplary motor skills.
  • Experience operating electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.) and measuring tape to take accurate measurements.
  • Strong mathematic and measuring skills.
  • Displays punctuality and consistent attendance.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have 2 or more years of experience in metal fabrication or related work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the United States of America
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in noisy environment.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
  • Performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
  • Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
