POSITION: Financial Assistant
LOCATION: Observatory Cape Town
REPORTS TO: Finance Manager
A family wine company is looking for a seasoned Financial Assistant to support the Finance team at the Head Office. The ideal candidate is someone with good numeracy skills, strong attention to detail and a hardworking attitude.
Key Result Areas
- Corporate Governance and Compliance
- General Finance Assistant duties to CFO
- Providing administrative assistance
- Assist with BBEEE and financial audits
- Liaison with banks and suppliers
- Liaison with SARS
- CIPC Company registrations and Contract administration
- Management of records
- Performing minor accounting & HR duties
- Minute taking
- Ad hoc duties and special projects as allocated from time to time
- Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and to handle matters professionally, confidentially and sensitively.
- Friendly and professional demeanour
- Experience supporting Finance Executive or a similar role
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated with a positive “can do” approach
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Minimum 5 years ‘experience as a Finance Assistant
