We are seeking part-time / per diem homemaker / companions to join our care team. A homemaker / companion helps individuals with Instrumental Activity of Daily Living (IADLs) .
This position plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life and promoting independence for individuals who may need assistance with daily tasks.
Responsibilities :
- Light Housekeeping : Performing light cleaning duties such as dusting, sweeping, mopping. vacuuming, laundry, and tidying up living spaces.
- Companionship : Engaging in conversation, playing games, or accompanying clients on walks or outings to provide social interaction and emotional support
- Meal Preparation : Planning and preparing nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Medication reminders : Assist with medication reminders at the prescribed times
- Errands and transportation : Running errands such as grocery shopping or picking up prescriptions, and providing transportation to appointments or social activities
- Monitoring health and reporting : Observing and reporting any changes in the clients physical or mental condition to supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine
- Must have a reliable means of transportation to get to the jobs
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Previous experience cleaning or companionship preferred
- Attention to detail when cleaning
