Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with the clinical staff and healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients. Your role will be crucial in providing exceptional patient service and maintaining the highest standards of pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians, mid-level providers, and medical assistants in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Uses pharmacy portal and practice's EMR system to ensure patient safety.
- Reviews all orders for contraindications and medication interactions.
- Perform medication inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
- Assist in maintaining patient profiles and medication records in compliance with legal requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate medication administration
- Follow proper aseptic techniques when compounding sterile products.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in the maintenance of pharmacy equipment and supplies.
- Occasionally work with MA team, if staffing is unexpectedly low.

- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices.
- Proficiency in medication administration procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.

- Familiarity with acute care and critical care settings in a medical office pharmacy.
- Experience with aseptic technique for compounding sterile products.
Requirements:
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is an asset.
