LOCATION: 210 SYNERGY CENTER BLVD, HOUMA, LA 70360
SCHEDULE: 40 HOURS, MONDAY - FRIDAY, 8 AM - 5 PM
POSITION SUMMARY: The Credit Department Assistant provides clerical assistance to the Credit Department and performs various daily tasks associated with loans.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: General Job Functions
Prepare renewal package for loan officers on maturing loans.
Professional correspondence with borrowers as required.
Request and monitor financial documents.
Scanning, Indexing, and filing of financials, tax returns, and appraisals.
Monitor asset-based lines of credit, making advances and payments as needed.
Request and monitor accounts receivable aging’s.
Maintaining accounts receivable monthly log
Monitor floor plans according to the applicable procedure
Perform on and off-site accounts receivable audits as required.
Back-up for appraisal functions of the department.
Maintain a good understanding of all bank products and services to effectively cross sell.
Answer phones to ensure all incoming calls are answered by the third ring
Follow all bank, department, and security policies and procedures.
Work with Loan Operations Director, CCO, Loan Review Officer, lenders, loan assistants and Compliance Officer as needed.
Handle additional duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Proficient with computers, especially in Excel and Word
Understanding of personal and corporate financials and tax returns
Ability to verbally correspond in a professional manner with borrowers and lenders.
General knowledge of CSI system and screens
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent.
A degree in finance or accounting preferred not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to:
Must be able to work at a computer station in front of a monitor for up to 4 hours at a time without the opportunity for a break.
Must be able to interact with the public utilizing various methods of communication.
Employee may be required to squat and remain in that position for short periods of time while searching for and/or reaching for files and supplies at ground level. This could occur as few or as many times as necessary to accomplish the required task.
Must be able to lift and carry approximately 10-15 pounds multiple times throughout the day.
Travel to offsite audits as needed.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have the attention span to stay alert and attentive during a normal 8-hour workday.
Must be able to follow instructions and procedures exactly as trained or directed by his or her supervisor.
Must be able to listen to, grasp, and respond positively to supervision and instructions by Management.
Physical and cognitive ability to perform the essential duties and functions of his/her job.
Ability to safeguard and maintain confidential information as directed by Federal law and Company policy.
