The successful candidate will be well-versed across the water resources discipline with demonstrated design and management experience in Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI), drainage, erosion and sediment control, Stormwater management design, H&H modeling, and permitting with the supporting capabilities to perform a variety of design tasks in the civil engineering and environmental permitting field.
Job Duties
Work assignments could include, but are not limited to,
* The development of roadway and site grading plans, drainage design, stormwater management design, erosion and sedimentation control / NPDES permitting,
* construction staging and sequencing plans, watershed studies, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and design / inspection of traditional and innovative green stormwater infrastructure and SWM BMPs in both urban and rural environments.
Assignments will be performed through a working knowledge of applicable design criteria, regulatory requirements, and standards and processes.
* The candidate will be expected to manage multiple design assignments, including oversight and direction of design staff and coordination with clients;
* prepare scopes of work and personnel hour estimates, developing / maintaining project schedules and budgets; analyzing and documenting critical design elements; coordinating with others to determine requirements and incorporating feedback.
Coordination with clients, contractors, outside consultants, government agencies, project stakeholders and JMT staff from multiple locations and technical disciplines is expected.

Required Experience
* A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited university
* Professional Engineer with 10 years of experience in the water resources field
* Experience working with the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT), Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) or other delegated agencies
* Experience managing staff and projects
* Experience with development and maintenance of client relationships
* Hydrologic modeling experience using TR55 / TR20 and Rational Methodologies
* Hydraulic modeling experience using HEC-RAS
* GSI / Stormwater Management design experience
* Erosion and Sediment Control design experience
* Experience performing External Plan Reviews and QA / QC
* Experience with Contract Document preparation including Plans, Specifications and Cost Estimates
* MicroStation and / or AutoCAD experience
* A working knowledge of Federal, State and local jurisdiction design standards and permitting regulations - In particular, the preferred candidate should be familiar with the policies, publications and practices of the State of Delaware, specifically the Delaware Department of Transportation and Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control.
Preferred Experience
* 2-D Modeling experience using SWMM or comparable model
