Summary:
An ocean transportation company is looking to hire a Facilities Maintenance Technician to work out of the port of Miami. This is a full-time position with overtime and long-term growth opportunity.
Responsibilities:
* Routine maintenance inspections around the terminal buildings and facility
* Preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, lighting, and other facilities components
* Repair and troubleshoot basic electrical issues, plumbing leaks, replacing faulty components, and HVAC
* Painting, carpentry, and basic repairs
* Available to respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies that may arise outside of regular working hours as needed
* Maintenance reporting
* Assisting with other maintenance related duties as assigned

Details:
Pay: $17/hr
Requirements:
* 2 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
* Ability to use hand and power tools
* Valid Driver's License
* Skilled trade certifications in areas such as plumbing, HVAC, and/or electrical
* Must have basic computer and typing skills
* Ability to troubleshoot basic repairs
