1.0 Purpose : Manage daily activities of the Maintenance Department in assigned area(s) to ensure the safe,effective, efficient, continuous plant operation through maintenance and repair of assigned facilitiesand equipment.
2.0 Scope : The position functions under the direction of a Maintenance General Supervisor subject toestablished policies, precedents and practices.
The incumbent is allowed considerable freedom ofaction to plan, organize and direct others to achieve department objectives and goals.
The incumbent manages the total maintenance efforts for all assigned area(s).The position has extensive problem solving requirements associated with maintenance and repair oflarge and sophisticated equipment.
The incumbent must have highly developed human relation skills required to direct and aidsubordinate personnel for self motivation, addressing competing and conflicting situations, andcommunicating with contractors and vendors.
The incumbent must be proficient in the use of a personal computer, must be able to store, retrieveand analyze data from the CMMS and network applications.
The incumbent maintains effective communication, meets emergencies, assesses and provides forthe training needs of crew members and performs employees' evaluations.
The incumbent works closely with Planning, Engineering, Production, Environmental and otherdepartments, to build and sustain effective working relationships that reinforce a Managerial Role vsa Foreman Role.
Incumbent must have high school diploma or equivalent.The incumbent must have five years experience in industrial maintenance.
This position requires occasional work / assistance outside the normal working schedule.Supervisor / managing experience is preferred.
The position has involvement with capital projects, monitoring cost and ensuring that contractorscomply with safety rules and practices.
The incumbent must have the ability to plan, organize, and direct maintenance and repairoperations.Physical Requirements : The tasks listed are the most physically demanding tasks required of the MaintenanceSupervisor / Sponsor position.
The position is primarily an administrative position. 1) Standing : Worker stands on concrete (occasional basis). 2) Walking : Worker is walking on concrete floors during the shift (occasional basis).
3) Strength : A) Lifting : Negligible B) Carrying : Negligible C) Pushing / Pulling : Not required 4) Climbing : Negligible 5) Balancing : Negligible3.
0 Responsibilities : -Ensure that EHS is a number one priority by adhering to the plant's safety and environmentalobjectives by conducting weekly safety meetings for assigned crew(s), daily toolbox meetings,monthly review of the "Safe Comment Report", demonstrate engagement in the HPI Process andinsisting that all safety rules are followed.
Evidence of this will be the TRIF at goal or less and theachievement of no Lost Time Accidents.-Use CMMS data, reports and graphics to pinpoint potential problem areas and enhance productivityof assigned crew(s).
Overtime collectively to be goal or less.-Responsible for conducting annual performance reviews with regards to performance objectives forcrew members.
Solicit their help to increase predictive maintenance and reduce unnecessary assetactivities.-Consistently complete tasks and provide information in requested time.
