A well known manufacturer partner is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Mechanic with PLC experience to contribute to achieving optimum production times. This role involves performing routine preventative maintenance tasks and repairing any inoperable machines, requiring strong knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. The Maintenance Mechanic will also perform maintenance and repairs to facilities and support production with component fabrication as needed. Expertise in PLC systems is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and reliability of operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, dedicated to keeping production running smoothly.
SCHEDULE
M-F: 1st Shift & Overtime when needed
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operate various hand tools and machine tools for the repair and maintenance of machinery and building facilities.
- Troubleshoot machine problems and perform basic repairs on electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, following all applicable lockout/tagout procedures.
- Load and unload items from machines and work surfaces, and transfer materials and products between storage and work areas using hand trucks or powered lift trucks.
- Clean and lubricate equipment, start machines to begin production processes, and ensure conformance to specifications by measuring products and recording data.
- Delegate tasks to helpers, manage time constraints and maintain clean work areas and equipment throughout the repair process.
-Adapt to various roles in the shop, office, and warehouse as needed, ensuring consistent attendance and punctuality during scheduled shifts. Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- Experience: Machine repair experience of some type or has been trained on specific machine processes. -
- Two plus years PLC experience.
- Computer Skills: Ability to be trained to learn basic computer skills, as well as to become proficient in company specific software.
