International Freight Forwarding Company in Queens, NY is seeking a Direct Hire Export Coordinator (Air / Ocean)DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Handle all aspects of export operations, including arranging bookings with transport providers and ocean / air carriers, filing required documents, and providing full customer service for each shipment.
• Process export documentation in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance to our procedures and country requirements exercising personal judgement and discretion.
• Always utilize discretion and personal judgement to ship goods using the most efficient and cost-effective route to increase margin on each shipment.
• Ensure product compliance, operating efficiency, with a specific focus on productivity, quality and profitability.* Oversee pick up on behalf of the client / agent as required.
• Responsible for accurate completion of airway bills.* Manage invoicing and collection of freight, agency and disbursements from clients.QUALIFICATIONS :
• Minimum 4 years of Air or Ocean export experience.* Minimum 4 years of freight forwarding experience.* Working knowledge of EdiTrade / SAP / Microsoft Suite Programs is a plus* Excellent communication & customer service skills.
• Accurate and detail oriented.* Work well under pressure and ability to multitask.* Able to work in a team environment and independently.
