We are looking for a Technical Lead to join our team to support our federal government customer located in the Washington DC area. This person will work closely with the product owner and lead direct architecture decision-making, feature prioritization, bug fixes, documentation, and implementing new security procedures. will conduct code reviews at the end of every development sprint to ensure submitted code is high quality, secure, maintainable, and meets other contract requirements. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for agile development life cycle with application design, construction, and testing of Java applications and Web Services; Will work with the stakeholder(s) to define application and technical requirements.
• Review and integrate all application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations.
• Ensure adherence to all quality management plans and standards by participating in quality management reviews as outlined.
• Perform the detailed design of the application and identify reusable components to support overall project requirements.
• Follow good security coding practices to ensure the application is free of the most common coding vulnerabilities.
• Confirm code quality, code performance, and code security and participate in code reviews.
• Inform the technical architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project.

Qualifications:

• Detail-oriented Technical Leader with a Custom Development Background
• Experience tracking complex delivery to fixed milestones.
• strong problem-solving skills: able to logically break down a problem into smaller manageable parts to solve.
• understanding of the object-oriented concepts and design
• Agile development experience and successfully executed complex custom development projects.
• 3 years experience managing large projects from a consulting firm or govt contracting agency.
• Ability to understand, speak, and translate requirements from technical team members to include understanding of the front-end and back-end development tech stack.
• Must have an understanding or experience in data science and machine learning principles.
• Must have any understanding or experience of DevSecOps Engineering
• Experience with 508 compliance.
• Federal Government contract experience is preferred.

Education/Certifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or associated discipline.

Clearance Requirements:

• Ability to attain and maintain a Public Trust.
