Title: Java Lead/ Architect with Fircosoft and LexisNexis experience

Location: Pittsburgh, PA/ Dallas, TX/ Hybrid

Job Summary:

The Java Lead/ Architect in this role is responsible for the solution design, development and integration of financial crime compliance solutions using Fircosoft, a leading software for watch list filtering, and LexisNexis Risk Solutions, which provides essential information to help customers across industry and government assess, predict, and manage risk. This position requires a combination of Java programming expertise with an in-depth understanding of Fircosoft and LexisNexis products and their application within financial services for anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Development:

Design and develop robust Java applications integrating Fircosoft and LexisNexis platforms.

Implement custom solutions and configure systems to meet client compliance requirements.

System Integration:

Integrate Fircosoft and LexisNexis solutions with client s existing systems using Java and related technologies.

Ensure secure data exchange between compliance software and client databases.

Compliance Automation:

Automate compliance processes through the development of scheduled tasks and workflows.

Enhance system capabilities to streamline AML and KYC operations.

Customization and Configuration:

Customize Fircosoft filters and LexisNexis searches based on client risk policies.

Configure and maintain lists, rules, and screening processes within the compliance software.

Performance Tuning:

Optimize application performance and ensure system stability.

Conduct performance testing and tuning for high-volume transaction environments.

Quality Assurance:

Develop unit and integration tests for new and existing software functionalities.

Ensure the delivery of high-quality code that complies with industry standards.

Technical Support and Maintenance:

Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for compliance applications.

Respond to and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Documentation:

Create technical documentation for system configurations, application customizations, and development processes.

Document the setup and changes made to Fircosoft and LexisNexis platforms as needed.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and business units.

Communicate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10-12 years of experience in JAVA Development
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in Java development and object-oriented design.
  • Proven experience with financial compliance software, particularly Fircosoft and LexisNexis.
  • Understanding of AML, KYC, and other financial compliance regulations.
  • Experience with database design and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Java EE, web services (SOAP, REST), and XML.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other compliance software and tools in the financial industry.
  • Certifications in Java programming or financial compliance.
  • Knowledge of additional programming or scripting languages.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools.
