Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

As a Junior Developer in Generative AI, the incumbent will play a vital role in advancing cutting-edge generative AI solutions within an agile framework. Responsibilities will include active participation in AI projects, with a focus on developing technical expertise while adhering to agile methodologies. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, the individual will contribute to aligning projects with organizational objectives, assisting in conducting POCs, engaging in coding tasks, and supporting the deployment of AI applications. This position underscores the significance of technical proficiency in AI technologies and software engineering principles. It presents an opportunity for the individual to enhance their skills in AI development and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, under the guidance of senior team members.

Essential Responsibilities:​

  • Contribute to Generative AI Development: Assist in the development and implementation of generative AI models and solutions, under the guidance of senior team members, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological standards.

  • Participate in Agile Development: Work within agile teams to build microservices and micro front ends using JAVA/J2EE/Spring boot technologies and frameworks, contributing to the development process through coding, testing, and debugging.

  • Engage in Code Reviews and Software Design Reviews: Participate in code reviews and software design discussions, providing feedback and suggestions to improve code quality and maintainability.

  • Stay Informed on AI Trends and Technologies: Stay updated on emerging trends, advancements, tools, technologies, and frameworks in AI, particularly in the Generative AI landscape, through self-study and participation in relevant training or conferences.

  • Seek Guidance and Mentorship: Seek guidance and mentorship from senior team members in best practices for AI development and agile processes, actively learning and improving skills to contribute effectively to the team.

  • Support Root Cause Analysis and Issue Resolution: Assist in root cause analysis and issue resolution to ensure consistently high availability for the business, collaborating with team members to address software-related challenges and optimize performance.

  • Maintain Software Quality and Data Security: Adhere to high standards of software quality and data security, following established coding standards, testing procedures, and security protocols to ensure the reliability and integrity of AI solutions.

  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and designers, to contribute to the creation of innovative AI solutions, providing technical input and support as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Digital Media and Design, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.

  • Exposure in building AI products, experience in leading agile teams with AI projects, particularly in generative AI technologies.

  • Exposure to API development experience using Java /J2EE technologies or similar technologies.

  • Understanding of at least one of the major on-demand cloud computing platforms such AWS, GCP, Azure, PCF etc.

  • Exposure to Large Language Models, gen-AI landscape.

  • Willingness to constantly learn.

  • Understanding of Microservices SOLID principle, 12 factors app, microservice design patterns

  • Exposure in Git, Maven, Jenkins and other DevOps Tools

Desired Characteristics:

Grade/Level: 08

The salary range for this position is 56,000.00 - 104,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
