Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst, you will play an active role in supporting solar and battery project financings, evaluation of new investments, and the advancement of Syncarpha’s development portfolio. Working with the finance and development teams, you will build and refine various financial modeling, analysis, and reporting activities related to solar and battery projects and opportunities. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to develop their financial analysis skills in the renewable energy sector and contribute to the advancement of sustainable energy solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Modeling: Collaborate with senior team members to develop and maintain financial models for solar energy projects, including revenue projections, cost estimations, cash flow analysis, and return on investment calculations.
  • Analysis: Conduct thorough data analysis using various financial and statistical techniques to evaluate project feasibility, identify key performance indicators, and assess potential risks and opportunities.
  • Planning and Forecasting: Support the development of financial plans and forecasts for solar projects, including budgeting, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis, to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Development, Construction and Engineering, and Finance teams, to gather data, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment of financial analysis with project objectives and strategies.
  • Improvement: Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting the renewable energy sector, and proactively recommend process improvements and enhancements to optimize financial analysis workflows.

Desired Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and quantitative analysis techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial modeling software/tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts and analysis findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
