The Fitter/Fabricator will be responsible for executing all tasks and technical aspects of assigned projects to assure the highest level of accuracy and quality while working with the Manufacturing Operations Manager. This position will be responsible for the fitting of all components working from engineered drawings.
Job Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
- Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.
- Setting up metal working machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, saws, brakes, and shears.
- Reviewing drawings prior to the beginning of fabrication.
- Fabricating and constructing metal components.
- Perform quality checks on completed products.
- Conforms to Sylvan and OSHA safety procedures.
- Complete inspection reports.
- Fabricates components in a timely manner to maintain schedule.
Education Requirements
- Vocational training certificate or College degree
Experience
- 2-5 years’ experience as a Fitter/Fabricator.
- AWS welding certification.
- Proficiency in using shop equipment.
- Hi-lo License.
- Rigging and overhead crane use.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, positive “can-do” attitude.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
