The Sylvan Learning Center in Naperville Illinois is looking for part-time teachers to help students K-12 build solid foundations and inspire confidence. Sylvan works with students in small group settings of 3 students per instructor and focuses on individualized lesson plans to help students achieve their goals quickly. As a Sylvan teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and motivating students in hour-long sessions. All curricula are established, straightforward, and fun to teach. We have teacher openings in reading, writing, math, homework support, and ACT/SAT Prep.

• Elementary or Secondary Education credentials (any state) required for most positions
• Math instructors need not be certified but must have a BS in Mathematics to teach
• Must be outgoing, personable, and enthusiastic about teaching.
• Must have strong communication skills.

Availability:

• Must be available to teach a minimum of two (2) nights per week
• Weekend availability (2 Saturdays per month)
• Summer availability — Minimum of two (days) per week - 3 or more hours per day

Hours of Operation:

• Monday thru Thursday - 4:00 pm. — 8:00 pm.
• Saturday — 9:00 am. — 1:00 pm.
• Summer Hours — 10:00 am. - 8:00 pm.

Compensation:

• Dependent on qualifications and level of experience
• Dependent on position being filled
