Position Summary

We are seeking a Tooling Engineer / Designer Intern to join the SyBridge engineering team at our Fitchburg, Massachusetts facility. This individual will work closely within the Engineering department and Project Manager. This individual will be in a role to learn the fundamentals of injection mold tool design while supporting the engineering team.

This role is required to be onsite at our Fitchburg, Massachusetts facility.

Key Responsibilities:

· Learn fundamentals of injection mold tooling design- stackup/split design, cooling, ejection methods, mold frame design

· Understand and apply customer and/or SyBridge standards to the mold design

· Learn best DFM practices for machining, EDM and mold making

· Attend and observe design reviews with design engineers and customers

· Support current tooling projects – 2D detailing, 3D modeling

· Observe and assist in hands on mold assembly practices

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Two to five years of experience with CAD (SolidWorks preferred)

· Must be able to work independently to scheduled workloads

· Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as required

· Ability to ensure quality standards are met

· Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills

Education and Experience:

· High School Degree

· Completed 2 or more years of college in an applicable engineering and/or design degree program
