Swyfft is Hiring a Remote Associate Claims Representative, Property Desk Adjuster (US Remote)

About the Position:

Our Claims team is growing. Are you ready to become a part of something that's just as exciting as our lightning fast quotes? Our desk adjusters are the best of the best when it comes to handling property claims. In this role you will act as the liaison between Swyfft's policy holders and vendors by providing a fast and friendly claims experience.

*This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity. Some travel for day-to-day work, team meetings, and training will be required.

Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)

  • Ensure that all assigned claims are resolved timely, reserved accurately and handled fairly.
  • Effectively communicate with policyholders, agents and service providers via phone, email, and internal systems to accurately document claim details.
  • Ability to successfully manage a pending claim load at varying stages of the claims process.
  • Interpret and apply the details of an insurance policy to ensure the accuracy of payments and claims declinations.
  • Ability to understand, computer generated loss estimates, engineer’s reports, and construction terminology.
  • Update and maintain comprehensive claim handling notations in our electronic claims management system and other related applications.

The Successful Candidate: (what we're looking for)

  • You come to us with a proven track record of handling claims and property losses. Previous field adjusting and/or construction experience is extremely valuable to us.
  • You're able to understand computer generated loss estimates and construction terminology. Or you have the aptitude to take conflicting information, compare, and come to a conclusion based on the data presented.
  • You're comfortable working in a metrics driven claims environment. 
  • Both internal (your peers) and external clients commend your excellent communication and follow up skills.
  • You're detail oriented, organized and can multi-task like nothing anyone has ever seen before!
  • You're a get the job done, self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • You take initiative to identify opportunities to handle claims more efficiently and thoroughly. 

Some Requirements:

  • You come to us with 2 years of insurance experience in a role involving interpretation of policy provisions. Experience with desk adjusting property claims is a plus.
  • You are currently licensed or eligible for licensing as an adjuster in the states of: TX, FL, CA, NY, and AL (we can provide assistance with your licensing fees).
  • Understanding valued policy states and knowledge of which perils apply and when tendering limits is appropriate.
  • HAAG Certification and/or construction background is a plus.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent (GED) is required.

Computer Skills:

  • Must be proficient with MS Office and other internal insurance related programs, systems or applications. (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Ability to communicate effectively using programs such as Slack & MS Teams. You are comfortable sharing screens and video chatting.
  • Previous experience using systems such as Symbility is a plus.

Other:

  • Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required.
