PURPOSE:
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for overseeing multiple company projects while exhibiting excellent leadership abilities. The main responsibilities will include managing and training apprentices as well as other internal support functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all CAD relevant work of SWJ TECHNOLOGY and NGE Equipment.
• Oversee and Manage Workshop / Facility and all Equipment in lab (including inventory, material display, storage, back-up of machinery, etc.).
• Manage Apprentice program for SWJ TECHNOLOGY and NGE Equipment.
• Responsible for additive manufacturing of NGE Equipment.
• Responsible for Measurement Services under SWJ and/or NGE.
• Responsible for Engineering and internal support to Accounts / Business Units of SWJ.
• Manage the workshop of Technology Center in Tuscaloosa including all personnel, material, work-instructions, deliveries inventories, machines (such as 3D printers / prototyping, measurement machines, all assembly devices and equipment) daily.
• Instruct and guide apprentices and manage all team members related to the workshop and NGE equipment final assembly.
• Train and develop CAD Engineers for SWJ.
• Oversee additive manufacturing and ensure Quality of all deliverables.
• Produce drawings and design for various projects of NGE and / or SWJ.
• Perform other duties as assigned in order to support customer and business demands.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field of study OR the equivalent combination of education and/or years of relevant working experience.
• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field is preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years professional experience in and engineering supervisory role, preferably in the Automotive industry.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Proven experience in project management.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role.
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling software (Solidworks, Siemens NX, AutoCAD).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (including Microsoft Project).
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Keen analytical abilities.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• German language skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.

FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:

• Salary, exempt
• Good attendance and the ability to work a flexible schedule is essential for this position.
