Job Description

We are seeking a teacher to teach the knowledge, skills, personal finance, banking, and behaviors needed to prepare students for college, careers, and life. Possible licensure may include: any Teaching License 7-12, Business Education, Business: Accounting and Finance, Workplace Specialist with over 4,000 hours in industry preferred, or interest in Transition to Teaching, or Emergency Teaching License with any general Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a rigorous and engaging curriculum that integrates personal finance and preparation for college and careers.
• Complete personality and career interest assessments.
• Research different career clusters and pathways.
• Stay current with the latest business advancements and technologies.
• Understand basic financial concepts (budgeting, saving, investing).
• Maintain a positive and professional classroom environment.
• Inviting guest speakers from various professions to present to students throughout the year.
• Familiarity with various colleges, universities, or career fairs may be incorporated.
• Collaboration with school counselors and financial aid advisors is recommended.

Job Qualifications:

Appropriate Indiana State Teacher Certification (or eligibility for certification)
