What does a Procurement Buyer I do at Swire Coca-Cola?
Negotiates pricing, facilitates purchases, and coordinates all activities required to purchase assigned commodities for U.S. operations. Works with manager to locate and develop suppliers that can meet current and future business needs. Coordinates with other departments and manager or Buyer III to solve supply problems. Will be supporting Transportation & Warehouse.
Responsibilities

• Sourcing
• Create and release RFPs/RFQs following the 7-step sourcing process
• Negotiates to targeted cost based on ideal cost level not just budget level
• Considers the business’ strategy and priorities during sourcing not just cost targets
• Tracks key market factors that impact commodity/project costs
• Source on time with the client’s needs in mind
• Market Intelligence
• Stay current with market trends for assigned commodities
• Help implement technological/process opportunities to keep business ahead of competition and improve operations
• Supplier Relations
• Build and strengthen supplier relationships
• Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders related to supplier performance
• Maintain high level of integrity to ensure all suppliers treated fairly
• Pricing
• Receive and validate pricing from supplier
• Maintain accurate records about pricing history
• Accurately forecast impact of price change
• Validate that requested price changes are accurate and include all documentation
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Business, procurement, supply chain or related field required
• Comfortable learning in fast-paced environment
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Continuous learner
