Job Description:
Swift Straw is looking for a Production Manager to lead the production crew. The role will be based out of Swift Straw’s Jasper manufacturing facility.
As a Shift Supervisor, you will be expected to manage a team of production associates to obtain daily, weekly, and monthly targets while promoting a culture based on safety, quality, and service. This role will report to the Plant Manager and be held responsible for various metrics such as, Safety, quality, service, and cost.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and promote a professional and respectful workplace
Manage overall annual production goals in line with company objectives
Own communication for everything under supervisor for assigned shift.
Ensure shift handoff being done daily
End of Shift form complete
Own handoff of pre and post startup checklist findings with Maintenance personnel daily
Manage all Employee time and attendance including PTO requests, Attendance policy and weekly payroll verification through ADP
Implement and administer all direct employee disciplinary actions including performance, attendance, safety, and Swift Straw handbook policies
Maintain training program for direct reports and cross-training within all positions on the assigned shift.
Coach and develop all shift personnel to ensure proper business continuity
Manage contingency plans for all plant issues including lack of attendance, downtime events or any other unforeseen circumstance
Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
Monitor production to resolve issues
Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
